1. 63rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The Houston St. Patrick’s Day celebration has been a cherished tradition for many years, honoring Irish culture since the 1880s. Originating as a day of enjoyment with activities like food, music, and games at Houston’s Market Square, the event has evolved over time into one of the nation’s largest St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, while still maintaining its original spirit.
The event kicks off at noon this Saturday at POST where the two-hour parade will begin and end. Following the parade, an award ceremony will be held as well as featured music performances, and outdoor market, games, food, and more.

2. 3rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Party at Ducky McShweeney’s
Opened back in March 2022, Ducky McShweeney’s is an Irish bar in Houston that features numerous dart boards, an 8-tap beer roster, cozy furniture and a gatropub menu.
This weekend, the bar is hosting its 3rd annual block party on Saturday, March 16. The event is set to feature bag pipers, live music, drink specials, DJs, and more.
The free party kicks off at 11 am. Visitors can also opt for a VIP ticket, which gives ticket holders access to an Irish buffet, special live music access, a VIP table with bottle service, and other perks.

3. St. Patty’s Day Weekend at Christians Tailgate
Christian’s Tailgate is practically synonymous with sports bars in Houston. With five establishments situated in and around the city, this bar and grill is famous for its award-winning burgers and unbeatable ambiance.
On March 16 and 17, the venue will be hosting a special St. Patrick’s Day celebration at its Houston locations with $2 jello shots, $3 green Michelob Ultra, $5 green tea shots, $5 melon Shamrock margaritas, and $5 Irish car bombs.

4. Heights Bier Garten Saint Patrick’s Day Shenanigans Party
The patio bar in The Heights features both covered and open-air patios furnished with picnic tables, umbrellas, ambient lighting, and fire pits for those pleasant weather days. In a similar fashion, Heights Bier Garten offers an extensive array of craft beers, complemented by a selection of wines and spirits.
On Sunday, March 17, the venue will feature a Saint Patrick’s Day Shenanigans Party with performances from the Bourbon Street Band and DJ Jimmy Jamz. Green beer, games, drinks specials, and a full menu will also be available. Festivities kick off at 11 am.

5. Go on the Kiss Me, I’m Irish Bar Crawl St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl
The 3-day event hosted by Barcrawlerz kicks off this Friday, March 15 at Leon’s Lounge. From here, patrons can mosy on to any one of the participating venues, which include: The Maple Leaf Pub, Front Porch Pub, Holman Draft House, Wooster’s Garden, Reset, Plaground HTX, Electric FeelGood, and The Dogwood. Wristband holders will have special access to the bars’ various drink specials – ranging from $3 green jello shots (The Maple Leaf Pub), $4 green beer (Front Porch Pub), and $8 Irish Coffee (Leon’s Lounge).
Drink specials depend on day and time. Patrons must pre-purchase their Bar Crawl Wristband and check in at Leon’s Lounge to receive map and drink special hours. Be sure to check in during registration hours.
