Cross the twinkly bridge into Christmas Village at Bayou Bend. From December 6 until December 30, Bayou Bend’s 14-acre estate will host a dazzling Christmas Village filled with an enchanting array of holiday-themed activities for the whole family to enjoy!
Don’t let the holidays pass you by without experiencing all the merriment at Bayou Bend’s Christmas Village. Open rain or shine, the Christmas Village at 1001 Bissonnet is a wonderful holiday experience with endless entertainment for all ages.
Formerly the home of philanthropist and civic leader, Ima Hogg, Bayou Bend is a collection of art pieces, fine American furnishings, silver, and ceramics. Situated on 14 acres of gardens in River Oaks, the Bayou Bend Collections and Gardens features an array of superb gardens blooming with flowers, trees, and pristine hedges.
During the holiday season, the grounds are transformed into holiday magic for its seasonal Christmas Village. Here, visitors can enjoy live actors, theatrical effects, and splendid holiday decor in Ima Hogg’s historic home.
Among its fantastic festivities include sledding, games (scavenger huts, antler rings, and more), spectacular 3D video animation, live carolers – as well as the chance to queue up your own holiday tunes at music-bell stations – cotton snowball fights, photos with Santa and more!
Plus, the Christmas Village will feature a Yuletide Bar where visitors can order beer, wine, as well as season cocktails that include Spiked Hot Chocolate and Spiked Apple Cider. Traditional hot chocolate and apple cider are also on sale.
Food-wise, visitors can find dinner, light bites, and other treats from Mrs. Clause’s Kitchen food truck or in the village tent.
The Christmas Village also features a special Cottage Shop where visitors can find unique holiday gifts.
Tickets are now on sale starting at $18 for general admission on off nights, $12 for children. On peak nights (6,7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, and 28), tickets start at $21, $14 for children. Check out their website for more details.
