Go green this weekend for St. Patrick’s Day! From Friday through Monday, the city is hosting all sorts of festivities in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, from bar crawls, to the annual parade, live music, and more. Per its custom, POST is also getting in on the celebration, set to host a special Irish-themed party this Saturday with live performances, a scavenger hunt, and more.
As the official after-party of the 64th annual St. Patrick’s Parade in Houston, POST will host a day of special Irish-themed action. Kicking off at 11 am the venue will be the host of the St. Patrick’s Parade award ceremony, where judges will announce the winners of the most creative and best all-around floats.
From 11 am to 6 pm, The Office at POST in the X Atrium Level will house a free indoor market featuring local vendors, balloon artists, face-painters, artisans, and games.
On its Skylawn, POST will stage a traditional Irish folk dance from 1 pm to 1:30 pm.
Beginning at 1:30 pm, the venue will debut an exciting new Pot O’Gold Scavenger Hunt, in which visitors are encouraged to uncover a series of leprechauns hidden throughout the facility. Lucky finders will be rewarded with special prizes ranging from free tickets to concerts at its 713 Music Hall to tribute concerts, and Art Club.
At 2 pm, resident POST cover band, ALIAS will be performing hit renditions on the Skylawn.
POST Market will then host a special themed trivia in honor of St. Patrick’s Day at 5 pm, which will include green beer specials and prizes for victors.
The event is free to attend, with food and drinks available for additional purchase.
To round out the night, POST will set the stage for a U2 cover band at its Outpost Rooftop Event Space.
While visiting POST, we encourage patrons to explore the many exciting activations at the facility including its newly-debuted Art Club – a new experience that, as it sounds, blends gallery-style aesthetics with nightclubs vibes.
