The holidays are officially here, Houston, so to are the city’s fantastically festive Christmas bars. Returning this year at its new permanent home, Jingle Bell Bar is one of the city’s favorite Yuletide pop-ups. This year, JBB features three uniquely themed spaces on top of Christmas cocktails, holiday movie nights, workshop classes, and more.
Jingle Bell Bar is an annual pop-up created by industry pros, Alexis Mijares, and Angelique Cook Cavazos. The dynamic duo are the same minds behind the beloved Cursed Cauldron. Both are also the founders of Botonica, the Latin-inspired cocktail bar and new permanent home of Jingle Bell Bar.

At its new space, Jingle Bell Bar will comprise of three uniquely themed areas, touching on various facets of the Yuletide holiday. The three themes include:
- Classic Christmas: Located downstairs, the area will feature the classic nostalgia of the holiday, with timeless decor adorned in colors gold, green, red, and silver.
- Candy Cane Lane: housed in the downstairs lounge, the area will feature saccarine accents and whimsical flourishes with candy adornments.
- The Ski Lodge: perched up in the upstairs mezzanine bar, the space is imbued with apres-ski and woodland vibes.
Each and every space sets a festive mood to enjoy Botonica’s wonderful seasonal cocktails. Featured cocktails at Jingle Bell Bar this season include the Festivus Old Fashioned, Nutcracker Nog, Yule Mule, as well as the Mistletoe Martini, Prancer’s Milk Punch, and Snowbird. Whether you’re wanting something warm and cozy, to more perky options, or even something non-alcoholic, Jingle Bell Bar is got all the holiday spirits necessary.

The holiday pop-up will also feature a variety of seasonal bites including: Reindeer Chow, Festive Flatbreads, Tamales, Santa’s Cookie Platter, and Rum Cake.
Throughout its holiday run, Jingle Bell Bar will put on a festive program of live and special events. On Tuesdays, the pop-up is offering $2 East Coast Oysters; on Wednesdays from the 10th to 24th, visitors can enjoy Jingle Bell Burlesque; on Thursdays, JBB will host Jingle Bell Juke Live Music Nights; and on Sundays, the bar will host special Santa’s Workshop Craft Classes with screenings of holiday movies.
Jingle Bell Bar is now open at Botonica at 2031 Westcreek Lane and runs until December 28.
