
Opening Day is here! This Thursday, baseball returns as the Houston Astros play their first official game since the ballpark changed its name from Minute Maid Park to Daikin Park. In celebration of the return of Houston baseball, the city is hosting a variety of festivities, specials, and events for Opening Day in Houston.
Houston Astros vs. New York Mets
The best way to celebrate Opening Day is of course to experience it firsthand at the newly-named Daikin Park. The Astros will host the New York Mets for the home-opener starting at 3:10 pm Thursday, March 27.

Opening Day Street Fest
From noon to 3 pm, an Opening Day Street Fest will take over the surrounding venue with live music, photo booths, food trucks, and yard games. Face painters, inflatables, caricature artists, balloons, and giveaways will also feature at the festival. A ticket for the game is required to enter. Attendants will also receive a 2025 Astros Schedule Magnet souvenir.

The Finn
Patrons can enjoy all-day specials at The Bar and Proper, A Burger Spot in Downtown’s Finn Hall this Thursday. Specific specials include $6 draft beers at The Finn Cocktail Bar and burger/fries combos for $10.
