The trio behind Tejas Barbecue + Chocolate, a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant and one of the most esteemed barbecue joints in the Houston area, has set its sights on a new pizza and burger joint opening in Tomball as soon as this May.
Dubbed Snarky’s Pizza and Burgers, the new restaurant serves as a replacement of Tejas Burger Joint. This past April, the group shuttered their burger restaurant after seven years to move into a larger space at 306 Market St. in Tomball.
Tejas’ new concept plans to carry over its popular Tejas Burger menu. As such, patrons will be able to enjoy favorites such as their half-pound smoked burgers and griddle-cooked smashburgers
As for its pizza, the venue plans to serve sourdough-based, thin-crust pizzas. Using 235-year-old sourdough starter acquired from California, Snarky’s aims to create Tomball-style pizza with a focus on high-quality ingredients and Italy-sourced mozzarella cheese.

“We’re going to make Tomball style. It’s a thin sourdough crust with elevated ingredients and barbecue meats like sausage and pork belly and things of that nature,” Scott Moore told CultureMap.
Furthermore, guests will be able to order pizza topped with Tejas Barbecue + Chocolate’s renowned barbecue meats, including smoked sausage and pork belly.
Available sides include french fries made in house, wings, onion rings, and salads.
To round out its menu, Snarky’s Pizza & Burgers will feature a full-service bar. Beverage options include cocktails, spirits, as well as eight beers on tap.
Presently, Snarky’s Burgers & Pizza is listed as temporarily closed on Google. According to reports, however, the restaurant is slated to open any day now. The restaurant’s opening coincides with a number of other food and beverage concepts opening this month, including: 1111, Kirkwood, Daphne Bar, Killer Burger, Spindletop, and more.
