In the past few years a number of Austin-based hotspots have opened outposts in Houston including the likes of Homeslice Pizza, Via 313, Clark’s Oyster Bar, and Nickel City. While those of us in Houston are grateful that the capital has shared the love, we’ve been on pins and needles for the time when we can experience the hamburger haven that is P. Terry’s.
Back in 2023, the company announced that it would finally be opening a location in the Houston area in Fort Bend Country. Shortly thereafter, it announced a second.P. Terry’s in Houston to be located on Champion Forest Dr. in Spring.
Ahead of its Houston debut this fall, P. Terry’s announced an additional location in the mixed-use community of Village Green at Bridgeland Central in Cypress.
Originally opening in 2005, P. Terry’s is a popular Texas-based fast-casual burger franchise that serves all-fresh, all-natural Black Angus beef burgers. P. Terry’s has since expanded with now 32 locations across Austin, San Antonio, and San Marcos.
For the uninitiated, P. Terry’s is reminiscent of the classic burger joints of the ’50s. Using fresh ingredients, P. Terry’s features a menu filled with burgers, milkshakes, lemonades, and fresh-cut fries. Breakfast is also available at P. Terry’s until 11 am in which customers can choose between an egg burger and/or breakfast potatoes.
The first of the P. Terry’s Houston locations is expected to open this fall in Fort Bend County located at Trinity Wood Crossing and FM 723. Its Spring location on 20255 Champion Forest Drive is expected to complete construction late October, but an opening date window has not yet been announced.
As for the latest-Houston area P. Terry’s announced at Village Green at Bridgeland Central in Cypress, the company expects for it to open in summer/fall of 2025.
P. Terry’s is one among a group of other hyped Austin establishments slated to open in Houston including the muy caliente Gabriela’s cantina and patio bar.
