Andretti Indoor Karting & Games has finally opened its doors in Katy. The new epic entertainment center features –*deep breath* — cutting-edge virtual reality and gaming technology, a massive arcade, a two-story laser tag arena, (soon to be) nine high-tech holes of mini-golf, three levels of go-kart racetrack, multiple dining options, and, last but not least, two locked and loaded bars.
Let’s get into the nitty gritty, shall we? Their namesake comes from the legendary racing family. As such, racing is a huge part of Andretti Indoor Karting & Games. Their trio of tracks offer speedracers the chance to put the pedal to the metal on three different courses. Note, you should probably do this activity first if you plan on drinking.
Remember: don’t drink and drive; drink and vibe.
Drift further from reality in their two-story Laser Tag battleground. This custom-designed, black-lit arena features multiple base stations, interactive wall targets, energy gates and power-ups, and multiple weapon choices. Here, taggers can wield the latest in phaser technology from Delta Strike.
If you still haven’t gotten your nostalgia fix from the last two activities, the entertainment center will soon have a techno-driven mini-putt course. The Luck Putt Mini Golf course will feature nine holes of golf merged with robotics, custom lighting, and dynamic props to give the course a new level of interactiveness.
In the meantime, submerge yourself in the neon blinking lights of their massive arcade. Game on your favorite arcade classics like Giant PacMan, Air Hockey, Skeeball, and Galaga, or play life-sized versions of your favorite apps and console games like Halo!
The gaming technology only improves from there. At, Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, you can escape reality completely a la Black Mirror but without the tragic consequences. The entertainment center features cutting-edge VR technology with tilt-motion simulators and 360-degree moving treadmills that will put you into an entirely new digital world.
In the real world, you can fuel up at one of their three American, Asian, and Italian food trucks, or their restaurant at the main bar. At the latter — which offers beer, wine, and liquor (holla) — you can tune in to sports or e-sports games on one of the many surrounding high-def TVs.
Entrance to the gaming center is free although prices vary by activity and attraction. Whether you’re a true gamer or a filthy casual, the Andretti Indoor Karting & Games center offers a virtually-unmatched gaming experience!
