When it comes to the holidays, we love our traditions: whether it’s delighting in the city’s annual Yuletide wonderlands, sipping on Christmas spirits at our favorite pop-ups, or going for an outdoor ice skating session in Downtown, Houston. That said, there’s always room for more holiday glee. This November, Chateau Nouvelle in Houston is set to introduce a new tradition to the city: the Festival of Trees.
At first glance, Chateau Nouvelle is like something you might see in the hills of Eastern Europe. Its majestic, French-inspired European architecture is evocative of an Old World castle, complete with intricate stonework and towering iron doors. Located on Champions Dr. in Northwest Houston, Chateau Nouvelle – translating to “new castle” – is a lavish, multi-purpose venue ideal for a Hallmark-esque experience in the city.

Ahead of the holiday season, the chateau has announced its inaugural Festival of Trees. Taking place from November 25 to November 29, the multi-day holiday festival will feature an array of VIP events, Christmas activations, and Yuletide entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.
Featured highlights of the Festival of Trees include its magical tree displays, as well as its Iceland attraction, Polar Express Train, Santa’s Workshop, and community performances. Other attractions featured on the event website include Christmas Movie Land, Jumbo chess, light-up see-saws, a Snowman jump house, and more.
Each day will also feature visits with Santa, where the kiddos and argue their case for the Nice List. On Wednesday, November 26, the Chateau Nouvelle will host a special Senior & Military Day where seniors and Military can enjoy discounted entrance at just $5.

Otherwise, festival-goers are invited to explore the magnificent holiday-adorned chateau. Like scenes straight out of a Hallmark movie, Chateau Nouvelle is a Christmas card-worthy setting with highlights that include its grand foyer and staircase, 6,000-foot ballroom, and gorgeous royal garden and terrace.
The festival will kick off with its VIP Black Tie Cocktail Event on Tuesday, November 25, featuring cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live music and a live auction.
Outside of special dates, admission to Festival of Trees at Chateau Nouvelle in Houston is priced at $10; $6 for children between the ages of 3 and 12. Children 2 and under are permitted free entrance. Free parking with shuttle service will be available at St. Timothy Lutheran Church and John Wesley Methodist Church. Parking with shuttle service will also be available at Yeager Elementary School and Hancock Elementary School priced at $5 per car.
