
We’re all about the entertainment complex’s in Houston. From the recent Taroko Sports batting cage concept in Katy to the coming 45,000-square-foot Lumos in New Caney: Houston is ready to play with more to come. Score Entertainment is a family entertainment center that plans to open a 150,000-square-foot space in the former Sears at Deerbrook Mall in North Houston.
Located in Humble, the Sears space at Deerbrook Mall located at 20131 US-59, Humble, TX 77338 has been vacant since 2020. Per a project filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and confirmed by Chron, the space will soon house a giant new experiential-based destination called Score Entertainment.
The company told Chron that it “will be the biggest entertainment center in the state of Texas” – spanning 150,000 square feet.
Activities and experiences visitors can expect out of Score Entertainment in the Houston area, include laser tag, go karts, bowling, axe-throwing, a trampoline park, mini-golf, arcade, sports simulators, and virtual reality experiences.
Furthermore, the venue – to be designed by Albany Studio based in Houston – will also include a bar and grill wherein which the it will serve modernized classic American dishes. The venue will also house two full-service bars in a sports-bar setting.
Score Entertainment at Deerbrook Mall will be a multi-million-dollar project with construction beginning as soon as June of this year. If all goes as planned the entertainment complex will open in summer 2026.
Recently, the Deerbook Mall opened up a Japanese-inspired Round1 arcade facility. The company Round1 also plans to open a 107,000-square-foot venue inside the former Sears space at Willowbrook Mall as soon as this October. Unlike the Round1 at Deerbrook Mall, this venue will include a bowling alley as well as billiards, karaoke, roller rink, batting cages, and more..
