There’s a lot to look forward to in Houston this year. From the opening of an iconic fried chicken joint, to a theatrical children’s wonderland, deluxe pickleball venue, and more: Houston is in for a bustling year of new experiences. This spring, a mega new entertainment complex is opening in the Houston area of New Caney with entertainment ranging from karaoke to axe-throwing, a 7D Motion Encounter, and more.
Lumos, created by former Shell executive, Greg Little, plans to open its 45,000-square-foot entertainment facility at the Valley Ranch Town Center in New Caney spring of 2025. The high-tech venue will feature a wide swath of attractions providing entertainment for children and families, young adults, and a venue for corporate events.
“Lumos is all about creating a space where people can forget the world for a few hours and just have a great time playing, eating and socializing,” said founder/president of Lumos 1, LLC, Greg Little in a statement.
“Our new location in New Caney is perfectly situated to serve the growing community, and we can’t wait to bring our unique brand of entertainment to this vibrant area where we hope to become part of your community.”
Among the attractions available at Lumos include bowling, axe-throwing, VR activations, laser tag, karaoke rooms, a 6,000-square-foot arcade, a 7D motion encounter, as well as a restaurant and bar.
Lumos opens at the Valley Ranch Town Center in New Caney at 22296 Market Pl Dr this spring. The venue will join other concepts in the Valley Ranch Entertainment District that include a Cinemark movie theater, Randall Reed Stadium, and The Hill at Valley Ranch outdoor venue. The area will also be the future home of the 200,000-square-foot EMCID convention center that will be located in walking distance to Lumos.
