Pickleball continues to dominate the sports’ world. Following the opening of two hit Houston pickleball destinations, Drop Shots HTX and Solarium, a new pickleball facility has made its debut. As the city’s first dedicated indoor pickleball venue, Pickle Mania at Lyric Market offers seven climate-controlled courts, tournaments, professional-led clinics, and more.
Founded by Houston husband-and-wife team, TK and LaTonia Kent, Pickle Mania is the city’s newest pickleball destination. Located inside Downtown’s Lyric Market, the venue provides access to the market’s full bar and restaurant offerings.
“We love the idea of combining ‘dink and drink’ — enjoying great pickleball and socializing over drinks and food,” TK said in a press release.
“Lyric Market’s wide-ranging food offerings and the Lyric Bar make it the perfect home for Pickle Mania. Since we are in the heart of Downtown Houston, we felt this location would be an unmatched place to pickle during a lunch break or to blow off steam after a long day at work.”
In addition to its prime social real estate, the venue features features seven courts, climate-controlled and designed for all skill levels of players. Here, Pickle Mania will offer drop-in play on top of leagues, tournaments, and clinics lead by pro players.
The venue also features a lounge as well as exercise equipment, a ping-pong table, and cornhole. Soon, the venue will open a pro shop where it will sell exclusive paddles, gear, and apparel.
Pickle Mania offers a variety of membership options including its limited-time offer, The Founders Pickle Membership for $99 monthly. This membership entitles members to complimentary court reservations, as well as bookings, a drill clinic, priority booking two weeks in advance, and free swag.
While presently open, Pickle Mania is celebrating its Grand Opening on Tuesday, September 3, from 4 pm – 7 pm. Here the venue will feature live DJs, a professional-lead clinic, drop-in games, as well as giveaways, complimentary swag, and more!
Pickle Mania is now open at Lyric Market at 411 Smith St., Suite 411B. The facility is open from 9 am – 10 pm daily.
