Can’t wait until the Fourth of July to start celebrating Independence Day? You don’t have to. This weekend, Liberty Fest is set to take over PlazAmericas with a vibrant lineup of around 100 food and craft vendors, kids and soccer zone, and live performances headlined by Houston’s own, Paul Wall.
Liberty Fest 2026
Presented by Southwest Management District in partnership with PlazAmericas and Sharpstown Civic Association, Liberty Fest returns to Houston for its fifth year this weekend. The free, community-wide event celebrates Independence Day through cultural performances, family-oriented activations, and patriotic ceremonies.

Where/when is Liberty Fest 2026
Liberty Fest 2026 takes place from 4 pm – 9 pm on Sunday, June 28 at PlazAmericas Mall, 7500 Bellaire Blvd in Houston. Free parking is available at the lot north of the event by Clarewood and near the Wells Fargo Bank off the feeder west of the festival.
Entertainment lineup at Liberty Fest
Kicking off with the East West Band at 4 pm, the festival will stage a vibrant array of live performances throughout the day. Headlining the event is the Po-Up Poet, The Ice Man, The People’s Champ, Paul Wall.
Ahead of which, visitors can enjoy a vibrant array of performances ranging from lion dances to Sreepadam performances, ballet folklorico, and more. See the live music schedule below:

- 4 pm: East West Band
- 4:30 pm: Vu Doan Hoai Huong – The Soul of Vietnam
- 5:50 pm: Kyle Mathis
- 6 pm: Patriotic Sing a Long & VFW Flag Presentation
- 6:45 pm: Shakira SHEWOLF & Explosive LIght Robots
- 7:20 pm: Mariachi Las Chabelitas
- 7:50: Diana Torres Band
- 8:20: Paul Wall
At 9 pm, the festival will ignite a spectacular, 15-minute fireworks show synchronized to a high-energy soundtrack.
Vendors, KidZone, and other Activations at Liberty Fest
The festival will host a wide range of around 100 food trucks, retail, and local vendors. While the official vendor lineup is not public, past events have included a range of Asian, Mexican, and American culinary vendors on site.
Liberty Fest will also feature a designated KidZone with face painting, train rides, and bounce houses. Additionally, there will be a World Cup-inspired soccer zone.
