Houston’s restaurant scene continues to grow. Ahead of the coming Texas Michelin Guide, two more restaurants are set to grace the scene this August. From Levi Goode, revered chef and mind behind Goode Company Restaurants, has opened two standalone concepts in Houston: Credence and Sidebar.
Goode’s two new restaurants both feature high-level American cuisine and elevated cocktails. Located next door to each other in The McKinley at Memorial City, the two restaurants open on Tuesday, August 20. Reservations are now open.
“I’m thrilled to see Credence and Sidebar come to life,” said Chef and Owner Levi Goode. “Years of work, heart and creativity have aligned to bring us to this moment. My hope is that both Credence and Sidebar serve as local havens where people can come together and enjoy a thoughtful meal, a handmade cocktail and a good time. We’re excited to continue to serve the Memorial area of Houston, which has been so good to us.”
Both concepts feature classical European architecture inspired, design-wise, from Goode’s travels – incorporating materials, furnishings, and accents from across the world. Designed in collaboration with architecture and design firm, Gensler, the worldly decor is intended to highlight the dining experience as performance art.
The South Texas-influenced menu at Credence features an upscale take on regional American fare. Celebrating traditional Texas cooking practices like live-fire cooking, kitchen features include the likes of Wild Gulf Snapper cooked on a custom-built hearth and a Fire Roasted Seafood Tower. Credence also features a curated cocktail list and wine menu intended to pair with its dishes.
Sidebar’s menu also places a focus on elevated American fare, with options ranging from caviar-topped oysters and dry-aged steaks. The reservation-only restaurant and bar specializes in classic cocktails like Gin Martinis, seasonal Pimm’s Cup, and twists on Manhattans.
Credence and Sidebar are now open in The McKinley at Memorial City at 9757 Katy Freeway, Suite 170.
