It’s about that time again, Houston. The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the city’s pride and joy, is saddling up for another March of non-stop entertainment. From bull-riding to Kelly Clarkson, cowboys to corndogs, the Houston rodeo is bringing it all to NRG Stadium from March 2 to March 22. Tickets are presently on sale. When is Community Day at the Houston Rodeo
This year, Community Day at the Houston rodeo is held on Wednesday, March 11 where visitors can get free admission to the park grounds until noon. Community Day also features the same BOGO games and rides (until 4 pm), as well as discounted food and beverage items at Junction Carnival as available on Family Wednesdays.

Family Wednesdays
Seniors aged 60 and over as well as children 12 and under can enjoy free admission to the grounds on March 4, March 11 and March 18 until noon on those days. Until 4 pm on Wednesdays, the rodeo sill also offer BOGO games and rides at the Junction Carnival as well as food discounts at select vendors.
On Wednesdays during the rodeo, take a look out for “Value Wednesday” signs at the Junction for $3 specials.

Armed Forces Day
Rodeo Houston celebrates Armed Forces Appreciation Day on March 4. In honor of the brave service members in the US military, actively serving military members in uniform with current military ID as well as spouses of actively serving military members currently deployed with a dependent ID (as well as four family members in both cases) can enjoy free NRG Park admission. Rodeo/concert tickets are sold separately.
On March 5, all other visitors are encouraged to dress in red, white, and blue to celebrate all past and present troops.
First Responders Day
March 9 is First Responders Day at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Here, firefighters, law enforcement, EMS, and other Houston area emergency service agencies can enjoy free NRG Park admission to the grounds. All first responders must provide a badge for free park entrance, admission include free entrance for four of their family members. Rodeo/concert tickets not included.
