The Houston Thanksgiving Parade takes place on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, at 9:00 am. The festivities will continue until 11 am.
Where does the Houston Thanksgiving Parade start?
The Thanksgiving Day Parade will commence at the corner of Smith St. and Lamar. St. in Downtown, Houston. The parade will proceed East on Smith St., turning right on Walker St., then right on Milam St. down to Pease St. The parade will continue up Louisiana St. and terminate at Smith. and Dallas St.

What to expect from the Houston Thanksgiving Day Parade?
Known as one of the most historical Thanksgiving Day Parades in the country, the Houston Thanksgiving parade regularly draws crowds of over 100,000 Houstonians. This year, the Grand Marshals of the Thanksgiving parade will be Houston’s beloved mascots, including Toro, Clutch, Orbit, and Diesel.

What streets will be closed for the Thanksgiving parade in Houston?
On Thursday, the following streets will be closed from 6 am to 2 pm:
- Sabine at Allen Pkwy
- Allen Parkway between Bagby and Taft
- Bagby between Dallas and McKinney; Bagby between Clay and Walker
- Lama between Lousiana and Allen Parkway outbound
- Gilette St.
Additionally, Houston street closures will take place for the parade itself, time from 8 am – 11 am:
