This year is gearing up to be a good one for Houston’s culinary scene. Following the opening of Postscript, Chicken N Pickle, Porky’s, and The Canary, the city’s food scene continues to grow and expand in the best ways possible. Coming this spring, Haywire is a Texas-true concept born in Plano that has plans to open a 20,000-square-foot dining experience and party barn in Memorial.
The restaurant is a concept of FB Society. The culinary group is behind a number of prosperous dining concepts across the state including Velvet Taco, Sixty Vines, Son of a Butcher, The Ranch at Las Colinas, Mexican Sugar, Whiskey Cake, and The Food Hall Company.
Haywire is a Texas-true dining experience renowned for its farm-to-fork southern fare, whiskey catalogue, and award-winning wine cellar with over 400 bottles of wine.
Signature plates at Haywire include Elk Tacos, Tomahawk ribeye, and The Lump Crab.
“I’m honored to be a part of Haywire’s expansion into Houston, a city that embodies the spirit of Texas hospitality,” said Jane Crouse, Managing Partner of Haywire Houston.
“Our commitment to locally sourced ingredients and genuine hospitality underscores our dedication to providing an unparalleled dining experience for our guests.”
Its coming Houston location slated to open on May 20 at 947 North Gessner Road in Memorial will be the biggest outpost yet. Haywire will be a multi-level, 20,000-square-foot space to feature a number of distinctive dining spaces catering to parties small and large. Most notably, Haywire will feature a 2,000-square-foot, 100-seat Party Barn complete with its own bar.
“Houston holds a special place in our hearts, and we’re thrilled to connect with the community as we unveil the uniquely Texas Haywire experience,” said Judd Fruia, Vice President of Operations at Haywire.
“Our dedication to Texas hospitality, farm to fork menu, wine and spirits, and a genuine people-first approach will undoubtedly resonate with Houstonians seeking unforgettable dining experiences.”
