About the Flyway District
Designed as a walkable “live-work-play” destination, Flyway District is an entertainment and hospitality development in Webster, Texas. The City of Webster and the Webster Economic Development Corporation project features an exciting, walkable area offering a vibrant range of indoor and outdoor experiences.
Presently, Flyway District is home to exciting sports bars, restaurants, large-scale venues, a boardwalk, event lawn and more on the way.
What to do at Flyway District
Flyway District is anchored by the $200 million, Great Wolf Lodge indoor waterpark, resort hotel, and conference center – opened in 2024. The sprawling, 27-acre venue features a 92,000-square-foot indoor waterpark – kept at a refreshing 84 degrees year round. Furthermore, Great Wolf Lodge is also home to a thrilling 60,000-square-foot adventure park, Northern Lights-themed arcade, bowling alley, and more.
Adjacent to Great Wolf Lodge, the Flyway Park is a six-acre green space that features a pond, colorful pavilion, lit path, fountains, and other water features.
The Flyway Boardwalk runs along Clear Creek, connecting Great Wolf Lodge and Flyway Park restaurants and entertainment venues, and is designed as a pedestrian promenade with creek views.
Notable bar and restaurants at the Flyway District include Vida Mariscos and Guachos Do Sul, with Ale & Ivy and Ambriza Social Mexican Kitchen set to open soon.
Located at 210 Blue Heron Drive in Flyway, visitors can also enjoy Chicken N’ Pickle. An “eatertainment” concept backed by the likes of Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, Chicken N’ Pickle features 70,000 square feet of pickleball courts, chef-driven Southern-inspired dining, as well as lawn games like corn hole, bocce ball, and shuffleboard.
Sunset at Houston
Late last year, Webster officials announced Sunset at Houston – a $150 million outdoor concert and entertainment venue located at 901 Flyway Drive. From VENU, the multi-seasonal concert venue will span 34 acres at a capacity of 12,500. Promotional materials describe the venue as state-of-the-art, built with a canopy roof, wind-walls, and cutting-edge audio-visuals and lighting.
The venue will also feature various luxury amenities that include the membership-only Aikman Club and 217 individual Luxe FireSuites.
As of this moment, officials have not yet released a construction timeline nor target opening date of the amphitheater.
