Another year, another exciting year for Houston’s bar, dining, and entertainment scene. From tiki bars from the underworld, to immersive dining venues, sprawling entertainment venues, and more: here are our favorite Houston openings of 2025. Listed in no particular order.
1. Endless Bummer
This new tiki haunt, birthed last summer from the Netherworld, defies easy description, residing “somewhere between death and vacation.” Step inside this surreal “dream house of spirits” and find yourself enveloped by a bizarre paradise, decorated with cryptic altars, lush (and perhaps unsettling) flora, and a host of strange, otherworldly creatures.

2. Camden Park
This past April, Camden Park officially opened in West Houston. Located just north of Robinson-Westchase Library, Camden Park is a 3.5-acre park that offers sprawling green space, a multi-purpose pavilion, covered rooftop terrace, and more.
The Wifi-enabled park also features a gated dog park, fitness area, children’ playground, as well as an on-site Sunday Press โ making it a destination park experience great for all ages.

3. Haii Keii
Opened this past February, Haii Keii is a striking Asian restaurant in Upper Kirby/River Oaks. Designed by Gin Design Group, the venue took its aesthetic inspiration from the bold visuals of Kill Bill and Blade Runner.
The restaurant would later be a finalist for the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards โ the only Houston establishment in contention.
Affixed with a 1,000-square-foot patio, Haii Keii features an elevated Asian fusion menu, with highlights that include the Lobster Dumplings, Wagyu Flights, as well as East Coast Oysters. The venue also features a bold cocktail menu, including specials that include Ube Espresso Martini and Spring in Nagano.

4. Botonica
From industry pros, Alexis Mijares and Angelique Cook-Cavazos, Botonica is a lush new Latin-inspired cocktail lounge in River Oaks. As the team behind some of the city’s favorite seasonal pop-ups, including The Cursed Cauldron and Jingle Bell Bar, Botonica is now the permanent home of the two themed pop-up experiences.
While presently hosting the Jingle Bell Bar, Botonica is otherwise a darkly romantic venue where visitors can enjoy expert, Latin-spun cocktails. Signature cocktails include the Desert Dove and Chamuyera, with options for Latin wines, beer, and mocktails. Visitors can also enjoy from a small selection of pan-Latin plates.

5. Starduster Lounge
Originally conceived as a playlist, Starduster Lounge is a vintage cowboy dive housed in the historic space formerly occupied by Spanish Flowers. The new dive is a project from Will Thomas of White Oak Music Hall and Dan Electro’s and Benjy Mason of Johnny’s Gold Brick and Winnie’s.
Adorned in desert murals, archways, and hand-painted tiles, the space offers a range of local craft brews along with agave spirits, whiskey, and Texas/Mexico-infused cocktails.

6. Doc’s
Recently opened this fall, Doc’s is a new jazz bar housed in the historical Tower Theatre building in Montrose. Doc’s is a triple-threat, offering a bar, kitchen, and music venue.
Founded by musician Doc Watkins of the iconic Jazz, TX venue in San Antonio, Doc’s offers a diverse program of jazz, soul, and blues on top of a global-inspired menu and diverse beverage program.

7. Aperitivo
Get a taste of the Amalfi coast at the newly opened Aperitivo cocktail lounge. Located along Buffalo Bayou in EaDo, Aperitivo is a chic, 5,000-square-foot rooftop and bar.
The Italian-inspired indoor/outdoor space, offers a stylish setting and sweeping views that add to its Mediterranean-inspired dishes and vibrant cocktail program โ the latter including Paloma e Melone and Sevilla Spritz. The rooftop is open from 5 pm โ 10 pm Wednesdays โ Sundays.

8. Lumos Social
Located in New Caney, Lumos Social is a sprawling new entertainment complex at Valley Ranch Town Center. The 45,000-square-foot entertainment center features an incredible array of classic attractions, including bowling, arcade, axe-throwing, and laser tag.
Furthermore, the venue also features a range of cutting-edge new experiences such as its 7D motion encounter and VR activations. Lumos also houses a full restaurant and bar.

9. Yiayia’s Greek Kitchen
Earlier this year, Pappas restaurants reintroduced Yiayia’s Greek Kitchen five years after the venue shuttered. Now open in 2410 Richmond Avenue, the beloved restaurant features a menu full of Greek favorites with specials ranging from lamb shanks to chicken souvlaki and spanakopita.
The venue also features an expansive wine list alongside specialty cocktails that include the Frozen Athenian Spritz, Yiayia’s Tonic, and Nefeli Lemonaki.

10. Perseid
Just a few short months after opening, Chef Aaron Bludorn‘s latest venture already secured a Michelin Bib Gourmand. The chic new neighborhood bistro is located inside the Hotel Saint Augustine in Montrose/Museum District.
Influenced by French techniques with Gulf Coast ingredients, Perseid offers brunch, lunch, and dinner menus with hit dishes that include roast duck breast, smoked salmon dip, and the St. Augustine Burger.
