It’s only appropriate that with a skyline as immaculate as Houston’s that the city is populated proper rooftop bars and restaurants. From rooftop coffee shops, to sky-high lazy rivers, and French Riviera-inspired rooftop terraces, there’s plenty of places in Houston to take in the view. If you want a little dose of the Amalfi Coast in Houston, take the elevator Le Tesserae in Houston to the newly-debuted Aperitivo rooftop cocktail lounge.
Located on the top floor of Le Tesserae wedding venue at 2940 Riverby Rd, Suite F-500 along Buffalo Bayou in East Downtown, Aperitivo is a chic new rooftop bar and lounge. Spanning 5,000 square feet, the indoor/outdoor venue features an Italian-inspired design.
The indoor area at Aperitivo is stylish and welcoming, with a green copper leaf ceiling, textured Tuscan plaster walls, and a modern bar as the centerpiece. Hand-blown glass lights from Murano, Italy, add a special, artistic touch. Big sliding doors open up to the patio, making it easy for guests to move between the cozy indoor space and the open-air views outside.
“We’re excited to be part of an evolving neighborhood that is reshaping Houston,” said Sebastien Laval, the group’s COO, in a press release. “Aperitivo is sure to become a landmark as one of the most beautiful, breathtaking views of Houston.”
The menu at Aperitivo highlights vibrant Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Featured bites include Beef Wellington bites, lamb sliders, foie gras-filled cannoli, and an array of charcuterie and artisanal cheeses. Dessert options include Limoncello Tiramisu Tart, Cafe au Lait Creme Brulee, Affogato, and seasonal Breading Pudding.
The cocktail list features house favorites like the Paloma e Melone — a mix of tequila, black pepper, watermelon, lime, and sparkling grapefruit — and the Sevilla Spritz, blending Tanqueray Sevilla, Aperol, orange cordial, lime, club soda, and sparkling wine. N/A options are also available including the Cranberry Cooler and Raspberry Cooler.
Beginning this May, Aperitivo is open from 5 pm to 10 pm on Wednesdays through Sundays except for private events.
