One of the most prolific hospitality groups in Houston, The Kirby Group is ready to introduce their latest concept: Emma Jane, a sophisticated English tea, cocktail concept, and pastries.
The Kirby Group is the hospitality company behind some of our favorite bars and restaurants in Houston including Heights Bier Garten, Verde Garden, Wooster’s, and Pitch 25 Beer Park. Their latest concept, Emma Jane, opens on Friday, November 8, at 1226 W Clay Street in Harlow District.
With Emma Jane, the group aims to create a sophisticated space where patrons can enjoy a traditional, English-style tea service ($65 per person). Offered from 11 am to 5 pm daily, a selection of up to three different types of tea is served on a 5-tiered tray along with homemade pastries, tea sandwiches, sweet and savory scones, and a glass of champagne.
Furthemore, Emma Jane features a curated selection of handcrafted cocktails, champagne, and wines. Signature cocktails include the margarita-based Culture Exchange, Distant Lover — made with requila blanco, yellow chartreuse, and pear cordial, and Panther Beach with gin, Thai coconut, pandan, and passionfruit.
As for its menu, plates are designed to be shared. Highlights include souffle pancakes, eggplant a la presse, pappardelle duck ragu, shepherd’s pie, French omelette, buckwheat crepes, and more.
The venue is housed inside a elegant and charming 2,300-square-foot space and features a lush, 6,000-square-foot patio.
Emma Jane is now open at 1226 W Clay Street in Houston’s Harlow District. The bistro is open for breakfast from 9 am to 11 am Tuesday through Friday; for afternoon tea service from 11 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Sunday; Dinner from 5 pm to 9 pm Sunday through Thursday and from 5 pm to 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays; and for weekend brunch from 9 am to 3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
