Following the opening of a number of excellent new bars, including Melrose in the space formerly occupied by La Grange, Montrose Country Club nightlife destination and pool, and the Southern-spun Starduster in The Heights, Houston is ready to add another buzzworthy bar to the scene.
De Fortune is an intimate and glamorous new cocktail destination and nightspot making its Houston debut today, April 25. Here, visitors can enjoy internationally inspired craft cocktails inside a cavernous, “jewel box” space.
Designed by the renowned Gin Design Group – the group behind Haii Keii, Saigón Hustle, ChopnBlok ,and other Houston concepts – the cocktail lounge resembles something of an exotic cavern, with gem-stone finishes, lush accents, and elegant Azul quartzite-clad bar space.
The new bar marks the inaugural concept of MAKE Investments – a Texas-based hospitality group. For De Fortune, the group tapped Miami-based Unfiltered Hospitality to curate its seasonally-changing beverage menu.
Incorporating flavors from around the world – ranging from Creme de Cacao of the Carribbean to Lychee of Japan – its menu features six classic cocktails alongside 12 signature cocktails with options for beer and wine.
“We’re thrilled this three-year vision has finally come to fruition,” said MAKE Investments co-founder, Mayur Desai in a press release.
“Our hope is that De Fortune takes patrons on a sensory journey of discovery with captivating discovery with captivating flavors and visuals that reflect the increasingly sophisticated surroundings of this dynamic neighborhood.”
The new Houston cocktail lounge also offers assortment of charcuterie boards, in which its selection of meats and cheeses are curated to pair with the bar’s cocktails.
De Fortune is now open at 3515 W Dallas St Suite 300, Houston, Texas 77019. The cocktail lounge is open daily from 4 pm to 2 am daily with everyday Happy Hour from 4 pm to 7 pm.
