Are you or anyone you know Kyle? Be among kindred spirits this May in Kyle, Texas. On May 21 the central Texas town aims to set a Guinness World Record with the largest gathering of people with the same name.
Texas is no stranger to world records. The Lonestar State presently holds world records for the world’s longest Bowie knife, the largest convenience store, tallest cowboy, cowboy boots, and largest pecan statue to name a few.
This May, the state hopes to solidify another world record with the largest gathering of people with the same name in Kyle. On May 21, Kyles can play a part in history with what’s being referred to as “the gathering of the Kyles”.
EDIT: The Gathering of the Kyles will take place Sunday, May 21 (5/21/23). https://t.co/XLMlQTLQd8

“We’re very excited about the upcoming, inaugural Kyle Fair and have high hopes that this event will bring out the Kyles needed to grab a spot in the record books,” the city’s special events manager, Claudia Rocha, said in a written statement.
For interested Kyles, your name must be “Kyle” – spelled as such. Kyles must also register at the VIP tent at the inaugural Kyle Fair. Kyles must also participate in the group photo on the final day of the free, three-day festival. Kyles will be gifted a free Kyle Fair t-shirt for their participation.
This is the fourth attempt of the Texas town to break the record. Presently the record belongs to Kurpres, Bosnia and Herzegonia with 2,325 people named Ivan.
