Make your summer magical at A Wizard’s Summerfest. Returning this July, the four-day festival will bring all kinds of wizarding wonder to Houston – featuring a magical marketplace, candle-lit, multi-course feasts, trivia tournaments, live performances, and more.
Launched in 2023, A Wizard’s Summerfest returns to Houston this July. Available to magical folk 5 years and older, the festival will take over the Ballroom at Bayou Place from July 31 – August 2. The event opens with a walkthrough of the Danbury living room and cupboard under the stairs, leading directly into the Vertical Alley and Hogsteade marketplaces.

Here, guests can shop for wands, robes, and merch, or order themed drinks like Flying Cauldron Butterscotch Beer (non-alcoholic), Fireball Whiskey, and Hollyjuice Potion at the Three Sweepers Bar. Candies and confections are available at Hunnydukes, tea at Madam Puddlefeet’s Tea Shop, and doo-dads at Bonker’s Joke Shop.
Inside the Great Hall of Swinehearts, diners are seated at four house tables under floating candles for a four-course meal, which includes Dragon Steak with Mashed Mandrake Root and a Chocolate Snitch Surprise. Younger visitors can opt for chicken tenders, mac and cheese, and desserts. Vegetarian options are also available.
Guests can enjoy live entertainment wherein an accompanying stage show features the Swinehearts Toad Choir, Serena Warbucks and the Banshees. To close out the show, the festival will feature a house trivia tournament. Guests also have access to a giant balcony for themed team sports.

General admission covers the meal and show, while VIP and VVIP tiers add reserved seating, alcoholic beverages, and marketplace discounts.
