Those of us Houstonians reminisce for the freewheeling festival days of Free Press Summer Fest and Day for Night. After those festivals sadly fell by the wayside, we’re waiting with open arms for more, enter: We Are One Music + Arts Festival.
Warmer days on the horizon mean budding flowers, crawfish boils, and yes, music festivals. This May, We Are One Music + Arts Festival is making its debut in Houston with two days and three stages of music, arts, and everlasting memories.
Scheduled to take place on May 14 and May 15 in Eleanor Tinsley Park, WAO promises a celebration of community, diversity, and mutual respect.
Its headliners include Grimes (DJ set), Illenium, Duck Sauce, Japanese Breakfast, Poppy, and CL. Other featured acts include JPEGMAFIA, Narrow Head, Lupe Fiasco, TOKiMONSTA, Anja Schneider, and Poolside.
With more artists to be announced, the festival will also include The Dollhouse Drag Brunch presented by beloved dive, Grand Prize Bar.
Like all festivals, We Are One will also feature an array of homegrown food trucks, full-service bars, as well as other peripheral activities for festival-goers to enjoy.
At this moment, We Are One is presently offering early bird packages for General Admittance and VIP. Two-day GA Early Bird tickets are now on sale for $150 (+ $33.58 in service fees); VIP Early Bird passes are priced at $305 ($57.06 in service fees) which include unlimited access to VIP lounges and bars, dedicated festival entrance lanes, and VIP bathrooms.
For all tickets purchases, a portion goes to local charitable donations in the Houston community.
