This Saturday, June 24, Houston’s iconic Pride parade returns for the 45th year with unparalleled pageantry and unwavering support for the city’s Pride community.
The theme for the 45th Pride Houston parade is “All We Need is Love”, and kicks off this Saturday at Houston City Hall at 901 Bagby Street from 7 pm to 11 pm.
Regularly attracting crowds in the hundreds of thousands, the City of Houston, The City of Houston annually attracts crowds in the hundreds of thousands for a vibrant celebration, otherwise known as the Houston Pride Celebration!
“It’s that time of year again! What time is it you ask? Well it’s time for the LGBTQ Pride season to start,” Pride Houston wrote in an Instagram post.
“For 2023, Pride Houston’s Celebration will consist of a parade only. We are planning BIG THINGS in 2024 so we are taking this time to pace ourselves and plan accordingly.”
As always the Pride Parade is free to the public, though VIP tickets are available – entitling buyers to parade seating, access to the open bar at the parade, and light snacks.
The Pride festivities will kick off at 7 pm at Houston City Hall on Saturday, June 24. According to ABC13, around 200 entries are expected to participate in this year’s parade. If the weather is too hot, you can stream the parade via Roku, Fire TV, or wherever Eyewitness News is available.
While the parade is the premier Pride event of the season, the celebration regularly coincides with a vibrant variety of LGBTQ+ events. Following the parade, The Official Houston Pride Parade Afterparty will take place at RISE Rooftop from 9 pm to 3 am and feature performances from DJ Kitty Glitter and DJ Drew G.
