A new destination dining experience has graced the City of Houston. Toca Madera is a 14,000-square-foot, 317-seat restaurant, bar, and outdoor patio is now open at the ground floor of The Pavilion at The Allen.
Toca Madera is a project from global hospitality group, Noble 33. The hospitality group is behind a number of experience-driven dining concepts including Sparrow Italia, Casa Madera, and Meduza Mediterrania across LA, NYC, Las Vegas, Scottsdale, London, and Toronto.
Originally opened in 2015 in West Hollywood, Toca Madera is one of the group’s signature concepts. Its Houston location – its largest location yet – will be the group’s first foray into Texas.
Located at the ground floor of The Pavilion at The Allen, the Mexican steakhouse will feature two full-service bars, a private member’s club, a lounge, as well as an outdoor patio overlooking Eleanor Tinsley Park.
Alike the group’s other concepts, Toca Madera in Houston features a stunning interior and ambiance. Designed by Monochrome, the restaurant features a Mexico City-inspired atmosphere complete with handcrafted woodwork, intimate lighting, luxurious finishes.
Its most notable design element is “The Bird’s Nest”, an immersive lounge area designed in a lush, nest-like structure.
“Bringing a Noble 33 concept to Texas has always been a goal of ours, so we are beyond excited and ready for the June opening of Toca Madera,” says Mikey Tanha, Co-founder and CEO of Noble 33.
“Houston marks Toca Madera’s fourth and largest location – a testament to the city’s international flare and palate and we can’t wait for all to enjoy the Toca Madera experience.”
The restaurant’s culinary program features Mexico City-inspired dishes with all the fan favorite dishes. Headed by Executive Chef Christian Brennen, the menu highlights include the A5 Wagyu Tacos served in crisp wonton shells with Cali green onions, micro shiso, and kizami wasabi; and rose-styled Sashimi Mexicano with chile de arbol, leche de tigre, ahi tuna, avocado, cucumber, and pomegranate.
Furthermore, Toca Madera is known for its curated selection of premium steaks including Japanese and Australian beef. Its most notable item include the tableside-chef-sliced-and-served Flaming Tomahawk.
Toca Madera also features a farm-to-glass mixology menu. Head by Beverage Director Carla Lorenzo, its beverage menu optimizes the use of fresh, seasonal ingredients on top of a vast tequila and mezcal selection. Its cocktail star is the Como la Flor.
Lastly, the venue also features a rotating program of live entertainment including local and international DJs, live musicians, and fire performers.
Toca Madera is now open at The Lifestyle Pavilion at The Allen at 1755 Allen Parkway. The venue is open from 5 pm to midnight Tuesday through Thursday, 5 pm to 1 am Friday and Saturday, and from 5 pm to midnight on Sundays. Closed Mondays.
