Barge 295 is closed for the unseeable future after undergoing extensive damage in wake of Beryl. Read more about it here.
Spring is here and summer is around the corner. With beach excursions, boat trips, and warm weather vibes soon incoming, you can embrace the waves as soon as now at Barge 295 in Seabrook, the only bar floating on a barge in Texas.
Located just a half-hour drive or so outside of Houston, BARge 295 is a two-story bar and patio anchored off the shores of Clear Lake. Open daily from 11 am to 2 am, BARge 295 is perpetually afloat with cold drinks, cool vibes, and unbeatable lake views.
Its carefully curated, gastropub-inspired menu offers a fresh take on bar and seafood staples. Consisting of appetizers, salads, oysters, and main dishes, its options can satiate a range of appetites from Cajun and Creole to Tex-Mex and classic Americana.
On the seafood side, the bar offers half-a-dozen oyster options, including their Oysters Boudreaux made with garlic butter, Parmesan, and crawfish tails, as well as Rocky’s Oysters prepared with grilled shrimp, spinach, bacon, and cream cheese. Additionally, patrons can also choose between the sauce-tossed Boom Boom Shrimp or classic Fried Shrimp.
Other items include the bar’s Sinkin’ Nacho’s, Barge Chicken Sandwich, and Green Tomatoes – fried green tomatoes on a bed of cilantro lime slaw, topped with parmesan cheese, remoulade, and blackened shrimp. As for libations, the bar serves a variety of beers, spirits, and mixed drinks.
Barge 295 recently opened an adjacent area dubbed The Yard. The area, fit with numerous picnic tables, a rockin’ stage, and a volleyball court, allows patrons to enjoy the bar’s weekly variety of DJs, performers, and live musicians.
Barge 295 is located at 2613 E NASA Pkwy in Seabrook, Texas.
