Amenities at Stewart Beach in Galveston
Stewart Beach is a premier family beach park due to its many convenient amenities. The beach is strictly alcohol-free and features a staff of trained lifeguards. Amenities available at Stewart Beach include:

- beach wheelchairs (free with valid ID)
- chair and umbrella rentals
- children’s playground
On-site since 1941, John’s Beach Service offers umbrella and chair rentals on a first-come, first-served basis. Cash and card accepted.
Beachgoers also have access to cool treats from Sugar, Spice, and Everything Ice as well as classic comfort foods – hotdogs, wings, burgers, and more – at Beach Bites Galveston TX food truck – both located at the beach.
Pets are allowed, so long as they’re leashed. As stated, alcohol is prohibited as is glass. Camping, open-fires (except BBQ pits), and recreational vehicles are also prohibited. Surfboards, kayaks, and similar craft are allowed in the special use area year-round. Fishing is also permitted in the designated area.
Location/Admission
Stewart Beach is located at 401 Seawall Boulevard, Galveston TX 77550. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, the beach is open from 9 am – 6 pm Monday through Thursday; and from 8 am – 7 pm Friday through Sunday.
Drivers visiting East Beach and Stewart Beach will secure one-time access by paying a flat fee per vehicle. This standard admission does not permit re-entry, requiring visitors to plan their trips accordingly. Admission is priced at $15 for one-time entries.
Frequent beachgoers will bypass daily fees by purchasing a Seasonal Beach Parking Pass for $50 via the ParkMobile App. This grants unlimited entry exclusively to Stewart Beach and East Beach for an entire year. Seasonal passes non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and non-transferable.
