While most people are content with a post-retirement hobby like gardening, the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) has other plans. Simone Biles has officially expanded her empire from the gymnastics mat to the culinary world. Her highly anticipated restaurant, Taste of Gold, is now officially open at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).
Created in collaboration with The Playmakers Group—an powerhouse behind several high-profile athlete-led ventures— a restaurant destination showcases a “chef-crafted menu” by Dallas hospitality veteran Mark Brezinski, complete with a curated selection of “signature food and beverage items.”
Taste of Gold officially opened at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) on March 24, 2026.
The menu, curated by industry innovator Mark Brezinski, features a blend of Biles’ personal favorites and Houston-inspired flavors. Highlights include the restaurant’s signature dish – Simone’s Skewers available with steak, chicken, shrimp, or seasonal vegetables. Additional menu options include a Gold Medal Mains – a variety of artisan sandwiches, fresh salads, and shareable small plates.
Since the restaurant opens at 6:00 AM daily, travelers can grab high-protein breakfast options before their early morning flights.
Taste of Gold is also equipped with a full bar offering gold-themed cocktails and a selection of decadent desserts to end your meal on a high note.
“As a frequent traveler, I am thrilled to partner with Athlete Playmaker Group to help create a place for people to relax and share meals during their travels through my hometown airport”, said Biles in a press statement.
“Whether you’re a fan of gymnastics, football, or any sport, or just hungry for something yummy before or after your flight, I’d like to welcome you to Taste of Gold the way fans have welcomed me into their hearts over my career”.
The restaurant is located in Terminal A at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) near A8. The restaurant is open every day of the week from 6 am – 8 pm.
