You love to see it. League One Volleyball otherwise known as LOVB pronounced “love” is a newly-announced professional volleyball league. LOVB will launch its inaugural season in 2025 with a six-team league including one in Houston. The Houston LOVB volleyball club will be based at the Fort Bend County Epicenter.
LOVB pro volleyball league is an extension of an established nationwide collective of over 1,000 junior volleyball clubs.
The LOVB league will comprise of six teams in the United States with teams in Austin, Atlanta, Madison, Omaha, Salt Lake City, and Houston.
The season kicks off in January, running 14 weeks through April in which all teams play weekly.
One game will occur during the week, while three matches will occur over the weekend. A winner-take-all tournament will be held in Kansas City during the season over President’s Day Weekend.
Houston can expect 8 home game matches during the inaugural season. The finals will be held in April.
At least 10 LOVB matches will be broadcasted on ESPN networks, with the others streamed on ESPN+.
The Houston LOVB team will consist of 14 players including:

– Madi Kingdon Rishel — Outside Hitter
– Sara Loda — Outside Hitter
– Karin Palgutova — Outside Hitter
– Anna Pogany — Libero
– Jordan Thompson — Opposite Hitter
The first Houston LOVB match will be held in on Thursday, January 9 at the Fort Bend County Epicenter. Single match ticket prices range from $25 to $105 per individual. Season ticket prices range from $183 to $538 per individual.
LOVB will be the second professional women’s volleyball association in the United States following Athletes Unlimited which features tournaments from September to November.
