Downtown, Houston has already established itself as the holiday epicenter of the city, but now, the area is an absolute beacon of holiday entertainment with the opening of “Winter Wonderlawn” at POST Houston.
Earlier this November, officials launched City Lights Downtown Holiday Magic, a (mostly free) yuletide event featuring eight unique, themed villages, holiday markets, a hot chocolate bar, festive sweets, caroling parties, and more throughout the city.
Recently, the downtown cultural hub, food market, rooftop venue, and merry makers announced its plans to join in the merriment with the introduction of a brand new holiday experience in Houston.
“POST is joining the Downtown Holiday Lights Celebration. Skylawn, our 5-acre rooftop park, will be decked out in beautifully illuminated lights and decor,” POST wrote on Instagram.
“Experience 100,000’s of lights, a 25-ft Christmas Tree, and multiple holiday themed activations on Skylawn with the best view of Houston’s skyline as the backdrop.”
The enchanting event runs through until the end of December. To make things extra special, “Winter Wonderlawn” is free and will be open to the public of all ages.
Additionally, POST Houston is hosting two shows paying homage to legendary singer Frank Sinatra. From the ‘Concerts Under the Stars’ series, ‘Sinatra Under the Stars’ and ‘A Very Sinatra Christmas’ will whisk you back to the classiest of times.
Whether you’re kicking back with a cocktail at ‘Sinatra Under the Stars’ or ringing in the holidays with ‘A Very Sinatra Christmas’ (featuring classics like “White Christmas” and “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”), you’ll get panoramic views of Houston from the iconic and spacious Skylawn venue.
