Diwali is a widely celebrated festival in India and South Asian communities. Symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness, Diwali celebrates hope, unity, and joy. This weekend, Houston will come alive for HTX Diwali 2025 – a dazzling Festival of Lights. Hosted by POST, the festival will fill the market and rooftop with color, music, and festivities complete with dance classes, rooftop yoga, cultural arts, crafts, and more – and it’s completely free to attend.
Diwali Fest HTX at POST takes place on Saturday, September 13. Here, the market will feature a full day of exciting events in celebration of the Festival of Lights. Hosted in tandem with T2 Dance Company, the festival will kick off at 11 am with a special Diwali Yoga with Black Swan Yoga at Skylawn.

- Saree Tying at X Atrium (12 pm – 2 pm)
- Bhangra Dance Class at X Atrium (1 pm – 2 pm)
- Diwali Baraat & Cultural Fashion Show at Market to X Atrium (2 pm – 2:30 pm)
- Garba Dance Lesson at X Atrium (2:30 pm – 3:30 pm)
- Diwali Storytelling and Q&A at Skylawn (4:30 pm – 4:45 pm)
- Diwali Performance Show at Skylawn (5 pm – 7 pm)
- Interactive Dance-Along at Skylawn (7 pm – 7:15 pm)
- Rooftop Diwali Dance Party at Skylawn (7 pm – 10 pm)

The festival is open to all ages and backgrounds and is free to attend with RSVP. Interested parties can RSVP through the event website. While there is no dress code, the market encourages attendees to wear festival attire. Diwali Fest HTX takes place at POST located at 401 Franklin St. from 11 am to 10 pm.
