
Discovery Green has announced its program for this February. Among a vibrant array of events, including a Lunar New Year celebration, Valentine’s Day event, Houston debut of The Moth Project live is the return of its popular outdoor roller rink.
Beginning Sunday, February 23, Houstonians of all ages can roller skate at the foot of the city skyline with tickets now on sale!

When is it open?
The Rink: Rolling at Discovery Green opens on February 23. Once in operation, the rink will be open every day until Sunday, April 13. On Monday through Thursdays, the rink will be open from 5 – 10 pm, on Fridays from 5 – 11 pm, on Saturdays and school holidays from 11 am – 11 pm, and on Sundays from 11 am – 8 pm.

This rink is located at 1500 Mckinney Street inside Discovery Green in Downtown, Houston.
Are there special nights to go?
Each spring, Discovery Green typically hosts a variety of themed nights on different nights of the week. Past themed nights include Skate Party Saturdays, Cheap Skate Nights, The Lab at The Rink skate lessons, Clutch City Wednesdays, College Student nights, and FUNomenal Fridays.
How much does it cost?
General admission at The Rink: Rolling at Discovery Green is priced at $12 (plus tax). Aside from the discount nights previously mentioned, general ($2) discounted prices are available for first responders, members of the military, as well as Discovery Green donors.

Other upcoming events at Discovery Green this month include a Black History Month Cultural Celebration (February 23), Jazzy Sundays in the Parks Kickoff Event (February 23), Gentle Yoga Flow and Sound Meditations (Tuesdays February 4 – 25), and more.
The rink at Discovery Green is also the perfect outing for families, field trips, birthdays, company parties, and benevolent cult gatherings. For group plans, the rink does require advanced reservations.
