Memorial City continues to grow. Lately, the area has seen the opening of numerous concepts including Via 313, The Pit Room, Haywire, and Credence. In a couple years, the area will be the home of the coming Greenside.
From MetroNational and Radom Capital comes Greenside, a new design-driven development at Memorial City that plans for 35,000 square feet of retail and vendor space, an acre of greenspace, and crop of seven new food and beverage options.
Greenside is a project from Memorial City owner MetroNational, Michael Hsu Office of Architecture, and Radom Capital. The latter is the development team behind some of Houston’s hottest developments including Montrose Collective, M-K-T Heights, Heights Mercantile, and more.
“The community continues to ask for more unique retail and restaurant offerings, and with the help of Radom Capital and Michael Hsu, we will deliver a one-of-a-kind offering to the Memorial City area with a great outdoor experience,” said MetroNational and CEO Jason Johnson in a statement.
Construction on Greenside is expected to begin this spring. The project will be located on Gessner Road in Memorial City and Spring Branch area in the company of Torchy’s Tacos, Mia’s Table, and Kirby Ice House.
Described as “an urban picnic. A backyard for friends. A home away from home,” Greenside will comprise of redeveloped industrial buildings, adding 35,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and office space. The development project will also feature three new buildings designed by Michael Hsu Office of Architecture, an acre of greenspace, and seven new food and beverage options.
Developers plan to add seating and lights to the greenspace area, building walkways to connect it to the aforementioned surrounding vendors.
Construction on Greenside is set to begin in spring 2025 with developers eyeing an opening of summer 2026.
