Summer adventure awaits at Lagoonfest at Lago Mar in Texas City. The largest man-made lagoon in Texas has reopened for the summer season, debuting Summerfest 2026 at the Lagoon.
Just in time for the Fourth of July, Lagoonfest has reopened its 12-acre, 25 million-gallon lagoon in Texas City. Since this past October, the lagoon has been undergoing an extensive, multimillion-dollar renovation. While the lagoon is still actively working on enhancing its facility, it reopens this weekend – operating at limited capacity (500 guests) for the time being.
Day passes are available at Lagoonfest in Lago Mar starting at $25. Day passes include access to the venue’s aqua course, FlowRider, swimming (access limited) at Sandy Cove Beach, bumper boats. Additionally, day pass holders can enjoy beach loungers and umbrellas, aloha squad activities, food trucks, a 21+ rooftop bar, and half-off National Selling Club activities. Parking complimentary.
Lagoonfest offers a wide range of aquatic activities that are available for additional purchase, including:
- Single and tandem kayaks
- Lite craft paddle boards
- Stand-up paddle boards
- Aqua cycles
- Sailboats
- Duffy boats
Private cabanas ( for parties up to 5) are also available for rent – starting at the discounted price of $75. The venue also features floating cabanas available at a higher price.
Throughout the summer, Lagoonfest Texas will operate from 11 am – 8 pm Wednesday to Sunday. As stated, the lagoon is actively making enhancements to the facility and as such will be operating at a limited capacity. As such, visitors are strongly encouraged to book their tickets online. Parts of the lagoon will be closed off during renovations.
