Following the news of famed French cafe, Cafe Feuillette, opening its first US location in Houston, another Euro coffee house is throwing its hat in the ring. The Copenhagen-founded, Joe & The Juice, has announced its first Texas location will open in Houston.
Founded in Copenhagen in 2002 by Kaspar Basse, a former karate champion, Joe & The Juice is a cafe and juice bar concept with over 450 locations across 23 countries. Described as a health-conscious cafe with a side of edgy, the Danish concept plans to open its first Texas location as soon as this year, as first reported by Houston Chronicle.

According to the publication, the Danish cafe has slot out a space at the Uptown Park shopping center. With plans for an indoor/outdoor venue space with a focus on social interaction.
Its menu is comprised of a variety of salad, breakfast, and açaí bowls, along with sandwiches, smoothies, juices, coffee and tea drinks.
The official opening date of Joe & The Juice in Houston has yet to be revealed, though Chron reports that it could be as soon as this year. Its Houston opening is a part of a larger expansion wherein Joe & The Juice plans to have opened 1,000 stores by 2028.

As to how a tiny coffee kiosk grew into a fully-fledged mocha monolith, publications point to its authenticity, atmosphere, investment into its employees. As for the latter, World Coffee Portal reports that over 90% of its head of staff began as Juicers at the Danish cafe.
Joe & The Juice will open at the Uptown Park shopping center. Here the cafe will be positioned among the company of elevated sports bar and cocktail lounge Uptown Sporting Club – slated to open as soon as this May. Other venues at the shopping center include Urbe, Lombardi Cucina Italiana, Rocambolesc, and Etoile Cuisine Et Bar.
