Call it a mid-mid-life crises, but I can’t get enough of adult-play places. With a plethora of patio games, a mega pool table, and an indoor soccer field that allows you to go toe-to-toe in a game of bubble soccer, Pitch 25 Beer Park in Houston fits the bill. [Featured photo: @pitch25htx]
Pitch 25 Beer Park is the brainchild of legendary Houston Dynamo soccer star, Brian Ching. It’s a 25,000-square-foot beer garden, sports bar, and grill. Their drink menu offers almost 100 beers on tap in addition to ciders, wines, cocktails, and frozen drinks. With multiple bar areas, 45 TVs (I have to watch Netflix on my laptop), and a patio stacked with hammocks, high tables, couches, and swings, Pitch 25 Beer Park provides a fully-loaded atmosphere to enjoy any game.
If you’re just tagging along with your buddies but aren’t too into the games themselves, the beer garden also offers a series of patio games. Such games include foosball, a giant pool table, cornhole, and shuffle board.
Also provided is the opportunity to stuff your face with their Americana menu. Choose from their gastronomic favorites: burgers, spicy wings, and/or loaded fries. Or, try a bit of Hawaiian flavor with their pineapple and fried-spam burger.
If sports — soccer, specifically — IS your thing, take their pitch and join in on one of their 4-on-4 matches to show everyone that all those participation trophies you got in elementary school weren’t for nothing.
The beer park regurlarly holds events such as dodgeball, bubble soccer, yoga and aerobic classes, and DJ sets on Friday nights. For a complete schedule of their upcoming events, check their Facebook.
