North Texas is set to light up this Saturday with the debut of the new Joya at Oran Good Park in Farmers Branch. The new playground, spanning 18,000-square-feet and embedded with LED lights, is set aglow at nighttime for a unique experience not available anywhere else in the US.
Farmers Branch, a suburb just 20 minutes outside of Dallas, will become the home of Joya at Oran Good Park on January 20, 2024. The playground will be located off the corner of Valley View Lane and Tom Field Road.
In addition to its unique LED lighting fixture, which will give the park a glow-in-the-dark feeling at night, the playground will feature a 7,000-square-feet play area for kiddos between the ages of 2 and 5, a six-level, 27-foot climbing sphere, and swings, slides, obstacle course, zip line, and hammocks.
Furthermore, visitors will also be able to reach trails, picnic tables, pavilions, park benches, and a sports field at the Oran Good Park area.
Visitors will be able to access the park during the day. After sunset, the playground will come alive through its LED, color-changing lights. Joya is also equipped with a sound system, that will reportedly play nature sounds or Christmas music during the holiday season.
Officials have announced the grand opening date of Joya at Oran Good Park scheduled for January 20th at 6 pm. Lights will come on at 6:30 pm. The ceremony will be accompanied by food trucks, swag, and a lot of fund according to an Instagram post from Instagram officials.
In the coming years, the Dallas area will also see the development of a Universal theme park as well as a Peppa Pig Park in Frisco slated to open in 2024.
