On the calmer bay side, the park maps out three distinct kayak and canoe trails through marshlands, open water, and narrow bayous. You need to bring your own boat to launch from the designated access points, as the park does not offer rentals.
Once on the water, you can paddle the open Dana Cove Trail, spot shorebirds along the Jenkins Bayou Trail, or tackle the longer, more secluded Oak Bayou Trail. Back on land, the park also maintains over five miles of hiking trails.

Stewart Beach is located at 401 Seawall Boulevard and charges $15 one-time vehicle entry or a $50 seasonal parking pass. Seasonal hours during Memorial Day–Labor Day are Mon–Thu 9 am to 6 pm and Fri–Sun 8 am to 7 pm.
