On the heels of Universal Kids Resort opening in Frisco earlier this year, another large-scale theme park is coming to Texas. COTALAND, located at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, will officially open its gates to the this September.
Welcome to COTALAND
COTALAND is located directly adjacent to the Circuit of The Americas, a 1,500-acre, world-class motorsports racetrack just outside downtown, Austin. Five years in the making, in an investment priced about $105 million, COTALAND is a full-scale theme park, complete with 30 rides, attractions, aquatic features, and dining.
Rides and attractions at COTALAND
As stated, COTALAND features over 30 rides, attractions, and high-thrill experiences. Featured attractions include the Circuit Breaker. As the first-ever tilt coaster in Texas – and only the second in the U.S. – the ride stops and tilts riders forward mid‑course before dropping them at a steep angle.
Other notable attractions at COTALAND include the Palindrome shuttle coaster, oil-rig-themed Spindletop, and water rides that include classic log flume, Soggy Logger, and kids’ friendly Buck’s Silly Soaker.

Notably, COTALAND will feature the special Hot Lap experience. Here, guests can ride shotgun in an authentic race car on the venue’s F1 track. According to COTA, this is the only permanent hot-lap experience on an F1 circuit in the entire country. The Hot Lap experience is priced at $175 per person.
For ages 16+ with a valid driver’s license, the park also features COTA Karting where drivers can rip racing go-karts around a 15-turn, outdoor track. For ages 5 – 11, the park will also feature a Kiddie Kart ride.
Dining and entertainment at COTALAND
Beyond the rides, COTALAND will feature a range of dining options spread across the park, from quick-service stands to sit-down spots with options for international, barbecue, sweets, snacks, and more. Games and entertainment experiences are also planned throughout the grounds.
How to get tickets to COTALAND
COTALAND officially opens at 9111 Circuits of the Americas Blvd. in Austin, Texas on September 26, 2026. Here, the park will celebrate with a grand opening party complete with a ribbon-cutting, first-ride ceremony, fireworks, and other entertainment. Tickets to the COTALAND grand opening are priced at $99; tickets include unlimited food and beverages.
General tickets are also on sale through COTALAND’s official website – starting at $65. Various add-ons, upgrades, and season passes are also available.
