Newly opened in The Heights, Be More Pacific restaurant and bar takes you through a gastronomic journey through the rich cultural flavors of the Philippines.
Nestled in at 506 Yale Street in the company of The Teahouse and La Vibra Tacos, Be More Pacific is a Filipino kitchen and bar that dishes out the best in the “original fusion cuisine”.
Using inspiration from flavors drawn from American, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Malaysian, and Spanish cultures, Be More Pacific bridges the culinary gap through its creative and vibrant menu.
For a true, hands-on dining experience, Be More Pacific invites patrons to take part in the tradition of the Kamayan Feast. Every Tuesday night at 6:30 and 7:30 pm, Be More Pacific holds a Kamayan Feast ($45 per guest + 20% gratuity), in which an extravagant variety of Filipino staples and off-the-menu seasonal dishes like red snapper and grilled stuffed squid are served on a bed of banana leaves.
Additionally, BMP offers daily specials – known as “Halfie Hour” – from 3 pm – 6 pm Tuesday through Friday and all-day Wednesday, with half-off select dishes, signature cocktails, $20 wine bottles, and $3 select drafts, bottles, and cans.
Dishes included in Halfie Hour include Chickcharon fried chicken skins with spicy vinegar; Longganisa Tots – fried potatoes, white queso, homemade pork longganisa tots, sausage crumble with housemade banana ketchup and green onion; Fried Spam Musabi with homemade spam, rice and seaweed; and delicious tacos.
BMP also offers karaoke, wherein guests can reserve rooms for friends and parties to sing to their hearts’ content. Guests must be 21 years or older after 10 pm unless accompanied by a parent.
With specials on the reg, crushable tropical cocktails, and mouthwatering Kamayan Feasts for the whole squad, Be More Pacific is a unique island-like experience found nowhere else in Houston.
