Houston is getting a new live music venue! This September, Ductwork Houston plans to carry the torch of Warehouse Live when it moves into its former space in EaDo.
During its time Warehouse Live was one of the most important mid-sized concert venues in the city. Housed in a converted 1920s warehouse at 813 St. Emanuel St, the 35,000-square-foot venue opened in the mid 2000s. Over the years, the venue featured multiple stages and featured major acts across the sonic spectrum before relocating to Midtown in 2023. After hosting numerous pop-ups over the years, including Pitch Live! during the World Cup tournament, the venue has found a new permanent occupant.
Ductwork Houston is a large-scale dance music venue concept by the team behind SILO Dallas (Donnie Estopinal of Disco Donnie Presents). Together with local partner Pat Detrick, Ductwork Houston is positioned as an EDM‑forward, techno club and event space.
Alongside major Texas EDM festivals such as Lights All Night and Ubbi Dubbi, Donnie Estopinal is the promoter behind SILO Dallas. Housed in a converted grain silo, the venue has emerged as one of the premier electronic music venues in the area. Tucked inside SILO Dallas, Ductwork Dallas is described as a “techno speakeasy“, offering an intimate, underground-style club night and event series inside the larger space.
The group announced on social media that Ductwork Houston would be opening on Labor Day Weekend:
“This September, the first chapter of our story begins with Ductwork Houston, officially opening its doors Labor Day Weekend,” the group wrote in an Instagram post.
“Ductwork Houston is more than a venue. It’s the first step in bringing the SILO standard to the city of Houston. Built on world-class production, powerful sound, and thoughtfully curated lineups, it’s the same commitment to unforgettable experiences that have shaped SILO Dallas”.
The group has announced its first wave of performances, with tickets now available for the following acts:
- Gareth Emery’s LS/CITY, September 4
- Beltran, September 5
- DJ Diesel (Shaquille O’Neal), September 19
