It’s a Southern Love.
Canadian born singer, rapper, and former Degrassi star, Drake – real name Aubrey Graham – recently wrapped up two stadium-packed performances at the Toyota Center on his “It’s All A Blur” tour. At his performance this past Monday, Drake reportedly told the crowd that he not only intended to move to Houston, but had already secured a place.
“I’ve been looking for a long time trying to figure out where to find the right place for me to live, and where I belong outside of Toronto,” he said. “And I finally, finally found it after all these years. I found my place in Houston, Texas, y’all!” Drake told the crowd.

To our knowledge, the last time that Drake was in town was this past June. While in Houston he paid tribute to Bun B’s Trill Burgers, calling it “the best burger I’ve ever had.”
“It’s All A Blur” marks the first time that Drake has toured in five years. The tour spans 29 dates in four months across North America.
Drake, one of the most successful music artists globally, made history by surpassing 75 billion streams on Spotify, becoming the first artist to achieve this milestone. However, he hasn’t gone on tour since his “Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour” in 2018, prior to the pandemic.
His latest studio album, titled “Her Loss,” marked a collaboration with 21 Savage. Over the past five years, he has also launched three solo albums: “Honestly” came out last year, while “Certified Lover Boy” was released in 2021, and “Scorpion” hit the charts back in 2018.
Perhaps, next on the docket for Champagne Papi is a collaboration with 50 Cent, a fellow rap artist and business mogul who moved to Houston back in 2021.
