It seems like something about Houston brings the best out of rap artists. This past holiday season, artist Post Malone left an astounding $20k tip for a Houston bartender and single mother. The trend continued this past Valentine’s Day weekend, where artist big-league rapper Drake foot the bill for half the patrons at Juliet Steakhouse.
Newly-minted Houston-area ranch owner, Drake – real name Aubrey Graham – was in the city this past weekend dining at Houston steakhouse and cinema-themed speakeasy, Juliet. In celebration of his latest album, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, which dropped on Valentine’s Day, the rap artist covered the tabs of half the restaurant.
Drake had planned the collaboration in advance, where beforehand his team reached out to Juliet’s owner, Jamie Allen. Since Drake purchased his property just outside the area, the rapper has patronized the Juliet Steakhouse numerous times.
Juliet Steakhouse is located at 5857 Westheimer Rd in the Galleria area of Houston. The Black-owned steakhouse and speakeasy opened in Houston early 2022. Inspired by the likes of New York, Los Angeles, and London, the luxury venue features American vibe dining in a cinema-themed atmosphere.
With regards to the latter, the venue features a striking marquee facade, additionally Juliet houses a maitre’d-hosted popcorn and candy counter atop movie theater carpet in its foyer and features numerous Old Hollywood photos, red velvet booths, and cinema-themed cocktails.
Juliet Steakhouse’s menu is divided into preview, main events, and credits. Featured dishes here include Honey Truffle Chicken, Crispy Korean Short Rib Tacos, and USDA Prime Gold Tomahawk Ribeye Wrapped in 24k Gold.
$ome $exy $ongs 4 U is a collaboration album between Drake and PartyNextDoor. The record marks the rapper’s 10th album and second collaborative album. Featured tracks include CN TOWER, GIMME A HUG, and RAINING IN HOUSTON. $ome $exy $ongs 4 U is now available for streaming.
