Pay homage to the beloved manga and anime series, Dragon Ball Z, at Dragon Bowl C – a ramen bar that offers themed eats, drinks, and more in Conroe.
Owned by Kelly and San Cheng, Dragon Bowl C began as a Korean food truck in 2019 before evolving into a brick-and-mortar restaurant in May of 2022. At 118 Simonton St., an hour or so north of Houston, the Chengs fully realized their vision of a Dragon Ball Z-themed restaurant.
On top of the themed decor, un pho-gettable dishes, and super libations, customers can even earn points to unlock secret menu items:
“Just like in the video games, players can earn points to unlock items on our menu. We love seeing our customers’ faces when they find something new and unexpected,” said Kelly Cheng.
Menu-wise, customers can choose from entrees, appetizers, egg rolls, or stir fry noodles. Featured dishes include the Dragon Special – a ceviche bowl consisting of shrimp, red onions, cilantro, tomato, serrano, avocado, and jalapenos served with tortilla chips.
The Dragon Bowl Pho priced at $15 features brisket, round eye steak, tendon, meat balls, and a poached egg. Other notable items include the Boudin, Gator, and Brisket Egg Rolls.
Alternatively, customers can build a bowl, selecting their choice of noodles, proteins, broth, and/or veggies.
“I love innovating and creating; food should be fun, and I’m always striving to turn my passion and love for Korean cuisine into an amazing dining experience for our customers,” San Cheng said.
Lastly, the restaurant offers a variety of fruit and milk teas. Available flavors include: mango, lychee, rose, honey dew, Thai tea, cofee, green milk tea, and more.
Dragon Bowl C is open from 11 am to 10 pm Tuesday through Saturday at 118 Simonton St., Conroe, Texas. Just look for the life-sized pink statue of Majin Buu in front.
