While it might feel like fall – does it ever in Houston? – the season of autumn festivities has already begun. Haunted houses are reopening, pumpkin spice lattes are back at Starbucks, and the scary movies are taking over cinemas. If you’re eager to get into the autumn action, wait no more. Self-proclaimed as the #1 pumpkin patch in Houston, Dewberry Farm is kicking off its fall festival this weekend with over 40 attractions, fireworks, fall foods, and more.
Located 45 minutes outside of Downtown, Houston, Dewberry Farms in Brookshire is a farm and family-friendly destination that regularly hosts seasonal festivals throughout the year. This Saturday, September 13, the farm will reprise its beloved Fall Festival. Running until November 9th, the farm promises Texas-sized fun across its 115-acre grounds.
Here, festival-goers can delight in over 40 fall attractions. Whether you’re looking for stellar views from the ferris wheel, go for whirl on the carousel, or to get your adrenaline pumping on its Phantom Revenge or The Gold Rush Coaster rides: the festival has a bit of everything. Other attractions include its slide mountain, jumping jacks bouncing pumpkins, apple blaster cannons, and pony rides.
Specific to fall, visitors can get lost in its 8-acre corn maze, explore its pumpkin patch, life-sized pumpkin house, and newly-debuted glow-in-the-dark pumpkin stroll. Throughout the event, visitors can delight in their favorite fall foods with options ranging from turkey legs, to fried oreos, funnel cakes, Butter Brew, and more.
Closer to the Halloween season, the farm will host its annual BOOrific Nights. Starting on September 27th, the farm will unleash its spooky attractions including a creepy corn maze, trail of terror, haunted barn, pumpkin stroll, freaky foam pit, and more. On Friday nights starting September 27, the farm will also host dazzling fireworks displays at 9 pm.
