Is it ever too early to start celebrating Christmas?
In defiance of the haters, the facts are in: scientists, experts, and psychologists all agree that those who celebrate Christmas early are happier people – after September, that is. Any time before is clearly overboard. Although the merry day is over a month away, you can kickstart your holiday fun by cruising through millions of twinkling Christmas lights at Light Park in Spring.
Hello, holidays: Houston’s first drive-thru animated Christmas light experience has rolled into Spring for the joyous season.
“Looking for a safe & family-friendly festivity for Christmas 2020,” the Light Park Troupe writes on its Facebook page. “Come visit our drive-thru light spectacular with over a million lights synchronized to a cheerful mix of holiday music.”
Light Park is located in the parking lot of Hurricane Harbor Splashtown at 1305 Spring Cypress Road. The timing of the experience depends on the traffic flow, but according to the company, ought to last between 20 and 30 minutes. Tickets are on sale now for $35 per vehicle. Buyers can receive a discount when purchasing online.
The light spectacle is open every night of the week between 5:30 pm and 10 pm until December 31.
In another Christmas news, Zoo Lights is returning to the Houston Zoo on Saturday, November 14 with myriads of enchanting attractions. Such displays include their 4D forest, 125-foot Infinity Tunnel of Lights.
A series of drive-thru animated light displays will be opening across North Texas as well. From November 11 to January 3, Decatur, Frisco, and Weatherford will light up with Radiance, a drive-thru experience of dazzling light tunnels and fixtures that expands over a mile.
