Get ready to enjoy three days of bands, brisket, and beers at Big As Texas Music & Food Festival. The inaugural festival kicks off this Friday with 75 acres of family-friendly activities including line dancing, horseback riding, and a whole lot of great food.
Houston has come under fire over the past few years for ultimately lackluster music scene. While we heartily disagree with this sentiment; what with incredible music venues, burgeoning underground scenes, and the city being the birthplace of some of the most groundbreaking artists over the years: we still think it could do better.
Landing in the Houston area this weekend, Big As Texas is a brand new, three-day music and food festival set to feature a myriad of bands, vendors, artists, and activities for the whole family.
Music
Big As Texas kicks off this Friday at the Montgomery Fair Grounds in Conroe. On the bill are a number of premier country and Americana musicians.
Featured artists scheduled to perform at the festival include headliners Thomas Rhett, Dierks Bentley, and Billy Strings. Other artists playing at the festival include: Dwight Yoakam, Clay Walker, Midland, Morgan Wade, Warren Zieders, Corey Kent, The Fearless Flyers, Los Lobos, Alana Springsteen, and many more.
“With an incredible lineup secured for Year 1, my team and I now turn our attention to curating all of the major aspects of the festival-piong experience for fans – from the food and drink to the nonprofit partnerships to the immersive activations,” said co-Executive Producer of Big As Texas, Trey Dillar.
“We already have a lot of amazing plans in store for our fans, and I’m hopeful Texans will show out in major form to support our independent locally-owned festival.”
