Spooky season is here, Houston. While embracing all the horror movies, Halloween candies, and pumpkins your heart can handle, be sure to add The Cursed Cauldron to your list of things to do this Halloween season in Houston.
Opening this Friday the 13th at Ninja Ramen – located at 4219 Washington Ave – The Cursed Cauldron is a limited-time cocktail pop-up bar that blends the spirits of witchcraft with the spirits of mixology.
Open from 4 pm to 2 am from now until Halloween Night, The Cursed Cauldron aims to transport guests to magical new realms through spellbinding decorations, apothecary-inspired art pieces, and enchanting live performances.
“Attendees will also encounter wandering fortune tellers, Tarot card and aura readers, mystical performers, and a Magical Makers Marketplace where seekers of the arcane can discover an extensive selection of goods from local makers to enhance their spells, potions, and rituals,” organizers write in a statement.
“Among the other surprises that await, guests will discover Instagram-worthy installations stationed throughout the reimagined space and daily interactive components that create a fully immersive experience.”
The pop-up, founded by long-time hospitality professionals Alexis Mijares and Angelique Cook Cavazos, features an enticing menu of potions and elixers in the form of handcrafted cocktails – many of which feature local artisanal syrups from Levels of Grandeur.
Featured drinks at The Cursed Cauldron include the Hexpresso Martini, Sex Magic on the Beach – both seasonal takes on the classics – as well as more cauldron-sized libations such as the Bruja’s Brew. Shots as well as alcohol-free options are also available.
Other featured drinks include: Coven’s Calling with Aviation Gin, Dry Sherry, Elderflower, Sage, Black Pepper, Lemon, Fever Tree Tonic Water, Lilith’s Lullaby with Cantera Negra Blanco, Chili Liqueur, Pomegranate, Rose Water, Hibiscus, Beet, Orange, and lime, and Oshun’s Offering made with Flor de Cana 12-year Rum, Pumpkin, Brown Butter, Almond, Orange Liqueur, Lime.
As for food, guests can choose from bewitched ramen, char-BOO-terie boards, and other light bites.
